Job Summary and Qualifications The
Manager Mother Baby will be responsible for planning, organizing, staffing and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the unit. In cooperation with the leadership team, the Manager will be instrumental in developing plans, policies and procedures to efficiently provide quality care. What qualifications you will need: - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State which you practice or must hold Compact/Multi-State RN License required
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- A current BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association (AHA or client) required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required after 60 months if hire if do not currently have it
- 3 years of recent RN experience in women's services in an acute care setting required; 1 years of supervisory/leadership experience required
Additional Information: # of Beds per Unit: 22
Manager will report to Director of Women's Services
Average daily census in the unit is around 15
# of FTEs: 29.5
The candidate must have experience in Mother/Baby, Postpartum with some supervisory or leadership experience. Strong and proven postpartum leadership skills are essential as the hired candidate will be supervising a tenured nursing staff.
Position directly supervises: RNs, Unit Secretaries and CNAs
