Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Tele CWR
Duties:
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
-Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient s needs.
-Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
-Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
-Initiates assessment based on the patient s problems or needs, the physician s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
-Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
-Manages care of patients.
-Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
-Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
-Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skill:
Required Skills & Experience:
-Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required.
-Must have a strong MS/Tele background.

-ASN.

-BSN.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-NIHSS.
-Telemetry.
-BLS-AHA.
-CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours.
-NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Replacement for #36802178 Job Title (including department IE ICU, MS, etc) RN (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry) Location/Facility Name Ocean University Medical Center Shift / Timings 7p-7a (expected arrival 6:45p) Float Requirement Yes, as needed to like units Required Years of Experience 2 Preferred Years of Experience 2 or greater Required Hard Skills Experience with non-titratable cardiac drips and medication is required Required Soft Skills Teamwork oriented Required Licenses & Certifications BLS, ACLS, telemetry certified Scrub Color Navy 2 years of Med/Surg experience required. BLS, telemetry and ACLS mandatory. Experience with non-titratable cardiac drips and medication is required. 5-6:1 patient ratio. RN must be willing and able to treat and manage patients on a unit with a variety of conditions (including but not limited to flu, COVID, heart issues, lung issues,etc). Education ASN required. BSN preferred. Hours Per Week 36.00 Hours Per Day 12.00 Standard Schedule Schedule Notes 7PM to 7AM , 3x12. 10-13 Week Contract. Every other weekend or as needed. Holidays required as needed.
