Duration:6 Months (Contract to Hire)
Location: Houston Texas 77024

Position Summary

The Applications Analyst is responsible for performing moderate to complex analysis within assigned functional areas to support business operations and drive data-informed decision-making. This role focuses on monitoring system resources, evaluating operational processes, and presenting historical data trends to ensure optimal departmental performance and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HCM analytics and Oracle reporting tools, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights and system solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct moderate to complex data analysis to support HR and payroll operations.

  • Monitor system resources and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting metrics for HCM functions.

  • Design and generate reports using Oracle BI Publisher and OTBI.

  • Utilize Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) to analyze trends and present meaningful insights to stakeholders.

  • Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to optimize departmental effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to gather reporting requirements and implement analytical solutions.

  • Present historical data trends and insights to leadership to support strategic planning and operational decisions.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of HCM Analytics, KPIs, and dashboard development.

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle BI Publisher and OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence).

  • Experience working with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI).

  • Ability to perform moderate to complex data analysis and communicate findings effectively.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Fast Formulas (Payroll, Absence, Benefits).

  • Experience with HDL (HCM Data Loader).

  • In-depth understanding of HR and Payroll business processes.

  • Prior experience supporting Oracle HCM Cloud environments.
