Position Summary/About the role
Title: EEO Compliance Analyst
Location: Queens, NY
Duration: 1 year
Job Description: The objective of this engagement is to assist in addressing a significant backlog and high volume of incoming EEO complaints and Reasonable Accommodation (RA) requests.
The selected personnel will support the triage, documentation, investigation, and review processes for EEO complaints and accommodation requests while assisting with reporting and compliance documentation.
All work will be performed under the supervision of the DEP EEO Officer/Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in triaging, documenting, and investigating Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints.
- Review and analyze reasonable accommodation (RA) requests submitted by employees.
- Conduct preliminary fact gathering and investigative research.
- Prepare investigative summaries, reports, and case documentation.
- Maintain accurate records within case management systems.
- Support preparation of compliance reports and documentation related to EEO activities.
- Assist in managing a high volume of EEO cases and requests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Work closely with EEO staff and stakeholders during investigations and case reviews.
Note: Personnel will support investigative processes but will not have full autonomy over case resolution.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience conducting investigations or performing similar work.
- Experience with EEO investigations or reviewing reasonable accommodation requests preferred.
- Demonstrated experience performing work to EEO investigative support. similar in scope and complexity

Knowledge Requirements
Familiarity with the following laws and policies is preferred:
- Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- New York State Human Rights Law (SHRL)
- New York City Human Rights Law (CHRL)
- Equal Employment Opportunity policies and compliance requirements
Technical Skills
- Experience using case management system
- Microsoft Office toolsProficiency with
Work Environment
- The selected personnel will provide temporary staff augmentation to the DEP EEO Office to help manage a high volume of internal complaint investigations and accommodation requests while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and agency policies.
- Work will be performed under the direction and supervision of the DEP EEO Officer / Project Manager.
