Nurse Manager of Med-SurgMedical City Las ColinasFull-Time – Days – No Weekends Medical City Las Colinas is a 99-bed full-service, acute-care facility with more than 500 colleagues and 400 physician partners, serving the community since 1997. We offer comprehensive services, including Level III trauma services, cardiovascular services, orthopedics, spine surgery, robotic surgery, emergency services and dedicated women's services. Medical City Las Colinas' accreditations and certifications include: Certified Total Hip and Knee Replacement program (The Joint Commission), Certified Primary Stroke Center (The Joint Commission), Accreditation for Bariatric Surgery (MBSAQIP), Level III Trauma Center (American College of Surgeons), Level II Maternal Care Center (Texas Health and Human Services) and Level II NICU program (Texas Health and Human Services). Job Summary and Qualifications - You will be responsible for the 24/7 leadership of all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision and strategic goals.
- You will ensure alignment of all systems to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, while focusing on people, services, and financial stewardship.
- You will establish effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, families, physicians, peers and other departments to move the organization forward.
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of the department including but not limited to payroll, hiring, counseling, mentoring/coaching, scheduling, orientation, competency validation of new and existing staff, and annual evaluations.
What qualifications you will need:EDUCATION: - Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
LICENSURE: - Texas State RN or RN Compact License acceptable under eNLC guidelines.
EXPERIENCE: - Previous recent Department Director or Manager experience required, will also a strong CNC looking to step into a Manager role.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience required
