Weekend Requirement: Every Other; 6 weekend shifts
RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission. Requests will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking.
Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria.
Pending License Accepted? No. Must have an active SC or multistate license.
Charting: 1 yr of EPIC experience required

UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

Ratios: 1:5-6
Adult 26-bed orthopedic spine unit specializing in spinal surgeries (laminectomies, spinal fusions, discectomies) with integrated pain management, physical therapy, & mobility support
Patient diagnoses include Med/Surg, Tele, cardiac, low-risk Client, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, & PE
Special procedures: bedside lumbar puncture, post Cath (radial/femoral), post-surgical care, post renal biopsy, CT Angio, and Heparin drips
Floating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies
