Position Summary/About the role
Job Title: POS Tester with Payment Gateway Experience
Location: Bethesda, DC (3 Days On-site at the Lab)
Duration: 6 Months+
Must Have: Aurus Payment Testing Experience Preferred But Any other POS Testing Experience will be ok as well.

The POS Tester will validate end to end retail transaction flows across POS systems, payment terminals, and integrated payment gateways. The ideal candidate has hands on experience with POS devices, payment processing, and backend validation, including experience testing Aurus payments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases for POS software, payment terminals, and retail & restaurant applications.
  • Validate credit card, debit card, EMV chip, contactless, gift card, and mobile wallet transactions (Apple Pay, Google Pay).
  • Test POS hardware and peripherals: EMV terminals, barcode scanners, printers, cash drawers, PIN pads, kiosks, and self Check-in
  • Execute end to end transaction testing: auth, capture, sale, void, refund, partial refund, exchanges, retries, offline/online flows.
  • Validate payment gateway integrations.
  • Perform API testing (REST/JSON) using Postman
  • Conduct database validation for transaction logs
  • Document defects clearly in Jira/Azure DevOps and support sprint testing activities.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and QA teams.
  • Support production deployments and post-releases.
  • Document test artifacts and prepare test closure reports.
  • Good knowledge of QA processes and test reporting.
