Position Summary/About the role

Job Title: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse -
Schedule: 3x12's / 36 Hours / D/N
Schedule rotates every 4 weeks or 4weeks days/4weeks nights

Estimated Patient Ratios: 1:1-2
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience.

EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

Certifications Required:
BCLS
ACLS
NIHSS
AHA Certifications only

Skills Required:
Proficient in IV start
Experience with telemetry
Competency with ventilators

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous travel nursing experience
Proficiency in EPIC documentation system

Specialized Experience in:
Multisystem Organ Failure
Respiratory Failure
COVID
Sepsis
Post-Cardiac Arrest
Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
Liver Failure
Renal Failure

Special Procedures/Unit Details:
Continuous Glucose Monitoring for Hyperglycemia
Externalized IV Pumps for COVID+ Patients

Special Equipment Knowledge:
NxStage CRRT
Alaris IV Pump
Client Cardiac Monitor
Client Ventilator
Boom Lift in Each Patient Room

Parking Options

WMC Monthly Permit: ***/month or *** per 100 days. Includes guaranteed 24/7 parking in the Wexner Medical Center Garage.
WB Annual Permit: ***/year, paid upfront. Includes 24/7 West Campus surface parking and shuttle service. Garage access is available on weekends and holidays.
CXS Annual Permit: ***/year, paid upfront. Includes 24/7 Buckeye CX and West Campus surface parking. Garage access is available on weekends and holidays.

Refunds: Annual permits may qualify for a prorated refund for unused future months. Current and prior months are not refundable. To request a refund, complete the CampusParc Return Request Form or visit a CampusParc Customer Care Center. Refund checks typically take 3–5 weeks. Cancel by 6:30 p.m. on the last business day of the month to avoid the next month s charge.
