Position Summary/About the role

Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers not accepted

Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics

Certifications Required: BLS, NIH

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Oncology and Surgical Trauma, Mostly post-surgical patients with some stroke overflows; Wound care and dressing changes. TPN and PPN. NG tubes. CBI. Foley catheters. PICC's and ports. Pain management.

Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 16 beds

Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

RTO: MAX 7 days

Weekends: Every other weekend unless otherwise specified

Floating: Yes within facility/scope of practice as needed

Call Requirements: None

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

New Years Eve/New Years Day

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.

CLINICAL SCREEN - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis.

Locals Accepted - Same Rate

Please Note: Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (ex 8hrs for 8 week assignment; 19hrs for 19 week assignment)
