Position Summary/About the role

*For the present time, all RN roles will be expected to perform their own vital sign checks and blood glucose checks*

FLOAT POOL POSITION - Please ensure candidate cleared on float units, ratios and flexibility on scheduling

Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers are accepted

Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: All Protentional MS, MS Tele, PCU diagnoses. Float required to all MS, MS/Tele, PCU units within the hospital

Ratio / Census: 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS, MS Tele

Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

RTO: MAX 7 days

Weekends: Every other weekend (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract)

Floating: Required

Call Requirements: None

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

New Years Eve/New Years Day

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Please Note: Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (ex 8hrs for 8 week assignment; 19hrs for 19 week assignment)
