Required:
NY License in hand
*BLS
ACLS
NIHSS-can get prior to starting if needed
***Nurse must be to read rhythms and must pass a hospital proctored test that requires >80% accuracy in rhythm identification and 100% accuracy in identifying critical rhythms
*Epic-charting exp
*Minimum 2 year experience: If a nurse had several years of experience with 1 year of recent telemetry/stepdown experience I would consider, however if a nurse only had 1 year of experience as an RN I would pass

Critical drip and CVA experience a plus, at least one year current experience with telemetry population
Candidates should have experience managing IV cardiac medications and some continuous infusions, along with familiarity in stroke care and management.
Flu Vaccine or exemption

LOCAL RULE: 50 miles from DL Address
As you know, since October we have limited our travelers to those coming from outside of a 50-mile radius from Saratoga. The Albany Health System is now moving forward with a more easy to determine limit, by county. So, effective immediately we will not be signing new contracts with travelling nurses whose listed primary residence is in any of the following counties. This will likely impact extensions as well, but let s take that on a case-by-case basis. Please bring them to my attention when we look to renew and I will provide you a decision.
